We just had the observance of May Day and May 5th's Cinco De Mayo Day, reminders that we live in a land of immigrants!
My origins began in Biloxi, Mississippi in southern United States where only english is spoken whereas here in Los Angeles I'm constantly hearing other languages of the world!
I went to the store and heard two ladies speaking russian, then at the checkout people were speaking spanish to the clerk as the two people behind me were speaking Japanese. Then I walk out the door and hear two men speaking in arabic!
You can find just about all of the worlds people living and visiting parts of LA, it really is a cosmopolitan metropolis!

- A Los Angeles tourguide, announcer, musician and ad artist. Member of AFTRA (LA local), the Sierra Club Angeles Chapter, the Tree People (Beverly Hills Center) and the Nature Conservancy. Vegetarian (vegan), physically fit (workout one hour daily), non smoker, no drugs but do have a mild caffeine addiction (coffee and tea), no alcohol except socially together with friends and or family....
